A certain Tottenham Hotspur midfielder who is on the fringe of the first team has issued a final ultimatum to Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou.

Since taking charge at Tottenham Hotspur this summer, Ange Postecoglou, the new Spurs boss, has managed to capture the hearts of many with his impressive leadership. The team’s unbeaten streak in the Premier League and their promising start to the season have fueled speculations that they could potentially contend for the title.

One of the key factors contributing to Postecoglou’s success has been his revolutionizing of the starting lineup. Unburdened by sentimentality, he has given previously overlooked midfielders, such as the remarkable Yves Bissouma, more opportunities to prove their worth. Bissouma’s astounding improvement has made him one of the standout players in the Premier League this season.

However, whenever certain players rise, others inevitably face a decline. This dilemma is an inevitable consequence of managing a sizable squad. Unfortunately, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has yet to start a single Premier League match this season, limited to just six substitute appearances. Understandably, this situation can be frustrating for him, especially since he has performed admirably whenever he has been given the chance to showcase his skills.

Consequently, the Danish midfielder has recently issued an ultimatum to Ange Postecoglou. According to reports from Gazzetta, Hojbjerg has expressed his desire to leave Tottenham if he cannot be guaranteed regular first-team football, with Juventus expressing interest in signing him during the January transfer window.

In my opinion, Hojbjerg’s demand is entirely justifiable. He was one of Tottenham’s standout players last season, and being suddenly dropped from the starting lineup must be difficult for him to accept. While Postecoglou has his obligations as a manager, it should always be a priority to ensure that players at the peak of their abilities are awarded enough playing time.
