Moussa Diaby injury: Unai Emery issues update on Aston Villa forward

The 24-year-old Villa player has had an impressive beginning since his high-profile transfer from Bayer Leverkusen, with two goals and three assists in the Premier League this season.

Unfortunately, Diaby sustained an injury during Villa’s dominant victory over Brighton and was unable to participate in their Europa Conference League win against Zrinjski Mostar.

However, there is good news as Emery has confirmed that Diaby will join the team for their final training session before their upcoming match against Wolves on Sunday.

“Moussa Diaby and [Boubacar] Kamara will participate in training tomorrow with the team. If they feel good, there’s a chance they could be included in the lineup, although not guaranteed,” Emery stated on Friday.

On the other hand, Jacob Ramsey and Alex Moreno will not be available for selection. Ramsey is still recovering from a recurring injury and needs more time to heal.

Meanwhile, Moreno had been making progress and training with the team, but had to halt his sessions due to discomfort. Fortunately, he is now feeling better and is expected to resume group training after the break.
