Club in talks with Leicester City ‘for a few weeks’ – Foxes playing hard in negotiations

Leicester City’s Victor Kristiansen recently embarked on a loan spell at Bologna, but it appears that the Serie A side is already keen on renewing those terms in the future.

When allowing the fullback to join the Italian club, the Foxes agreed to a one-year deal which included a €15m buying option.

However, according to Corriere Dello Sport (via TuttoMercatoWeb), Bologna is already seeking a discount from Leicester City.

Reportedly, Bologna has been negotiating with the Foxes for several weeks now, attempting to lower the agreed price. Although the odds may not be in their favor, the Serie A side believes that if Leicester City fails to earn promotion back to the Premier League for the upcoming season and remains in the Championship, they may be more inclined to accept a discounted fee.

It seems quite premature for Bologna to pursue a lower price at this point, especially considering the uncertainty surrounding Leicester City’s future.

Nevertheless, this endeavor serves as a testament to the positive impression Kristiansen has made during his first five appearances for Bologna.
