However, his coach, Jurgen Klinsmann, decided to keep him on the pitch, stating that the injury had not worsened. Son, when asked about his decision to play, acknowledged the inevitability of injuries in a footballer’s life. He expressed his gratitude to his coach for respecting his choice to participate despite not being able to participate much in training. Klinsmann confirmed that the plan was always for Son to play the entire match, and the injury did not resurface during the game. Son will now return to London for Tottenham’s upcoming Premier League match against Fulham on Monday.
