Former Claret claims Leicester City are a stronger side than Burnley’s Championship winners

Michael Duff, former player for Burnley, is convinced that Leicester City is a much stronger team than the Burnley side that triumphed in the Championship with 101 points last season. Now in charge of Swansea City, Duff will be facing the formidable Foxes in South Wales on Saturday.

Describing the upcoming match, Duff admits that it will likely be the toughest game of the season. Acknowledging Leicester’s impressive record of winning 10 out of 11 league games so far, he emphasizes that they are an exceptional team. However, Duff asserts that his team will not simply sit back and defend throughout the match. Rather, Swansea will aim to showcase their ability to play attacking football and solid defense.

Reflecting on the challenges of facing Leicester, Duff admits that many teams have attempted different tactics to beat them, but all have failed due to Leicester’s talented players. Duff acknowledges that his team will need to devise a unique strategy to impose themselves on Leicester and overcome their strength.

Having spent 12 years as a player, making 342 appearances for Burnley, Duff has a deep connection with the club. He began his coaching career in Burnley’s academy and later became the manager of Cheltenham Town. After a year with Barnsley, Duff made the move to Swansea this summer.
