Kasey McAteer, Tom Cannon, Dennis Praet – Leicester City injury update ahead of Swansea clash

Enzo Maresca provides an update on the condition of his team following the return of their international players. The Leicester City squad has come back to Seagrave fit and without any fresh injuries ahead of their match against Swansea.

Despite their recent return from international duty, the players have maintained good fitness levels and are ready to be considered for selection in the upcoming fixture. Only four players remain sidelined for City: Callum Doyle, Kasey McAteer, Dennis Praet, and Tom Cannon.

Fortunately, there are no new injury concerns among the squad, as confirmed by Maresca during his press conference on Friday. He stated, “Yes, all of them (the internationals) are fit. They are ready for tomorrow.”

Among the injured players, McAteer (hamstring) and Cannon (back) are in the advanced stages of recovery and have started rehabilitation on the field, although they are not yet training with their teammates. Praet (back) and Doyle (knee) still require more time to fully recover.

Maresca expressed his satisfaction, saying, “Kasey and Tom are already on the pitch, albeit not with us, but it’s great to see them working alongside us. Unfortunately, Dennis is not yet able to join us on the field.”

Given the previous match’s rotation, where Leicester City secured a 2-0 victory over Stoke, changes in the starting lineup for the Swansea game are likely. Players such as Wout Faes, James Justin, Wilfred Ndidi, and Stephy Mavididi could potentially make their return to the starting eleven.
