FootballTransfers has confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is currently in discussions with Warren Zaire-Emery regarding a new contract, despite interest from the Premier League. However, there is still some distance to cover before any official deal can be reached.
During the summer transfer window, Manchester City expressed their interest in the 17-year-old midfielder, but no move materialized. Zaire-Emery’s contract with PSG expires in 2025, and the club is determined to secure him to an extension, warding off any potential suitors.
Notably, PSG and Man City engaged in talks about a swap deal involving Bernardo Silva, but ultimately, both players remained at their respective clubs. PSG even offered Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marco Verratti as part of the deal, but Man City insisted on Zaire-Emery.
Zaire-Emery has already made a name for himself, featuring in 41 games for PSG over the past two seasons and scoring two goals. He was recently called up to the France under-21s squad, following his triumph in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship with the national team last year.
Despite the speculation surrounding his future, the young Frenchman expressed his deep attachment to PSG in an interview with Le Parisien last year. He emphasized his long-standing association with the club, from his early days in Aubervilliers to his current position in the professional team. Zaire-Emery dreams of spending his entire career adorned in the PSG jersey and hopes to achieve this lifelong ambition.
