Leicester Players in Everton and West Ham transfer battle, Exposed.

Leicester City continue their impressive run in the Championship, securing a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers and setting a new club record with their ninth consecutive win. The Foxes took the lead in the 30th minute when Stephy Mavididi’s shot deflected off Albert Adomah. However, QPR quickly responded with an equalizer from Andre Dozzell. The game took a turn in Leicester’s favor when Dozzell was sent off in the second half after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession. With their numerical advantage, Leicester sealed all three points with a fantastic 20-yard strike from Harry Winks in the 80th minute. Enzo Maresca’s side remains at the top of the table, boasting a five-point lead over Ipswich Town in second place and a 14-point lead over Leeds United in third.

Looking ahead, Leicester faces a crucial match against Leeds at the King Power Stadium on Friday night. Despite not delivering their best performance against QPR, Maresca praised his team’s patience in breaking down the opposition’s defense. He acknowledged the difficulties of attacking a team with a line of five and expressed satisfaction with his team’s ability to secure the win, despite conceding a goal. Maresca also revealed that midfielder Harry Winks, who scored his first goal for the club, was his top priority signing this summer and highlighted his impact on the team.

Off the pitch, Leicester is reportedly interested in signing Perth Glory’s young talent, James Overy, although they face competition from Everton and West Ham United for the 16-year-old right-wing back. Overy has impressed during trials with both Everton and West Ham, but Leicester is keen to secure his services. While Everton currently leads the race, the battle for Overy’s signature is expected to intensify in the upcoming months.
