Having left FC Copenhagen at 20 years old, the player joined the Foxes in January and made 12 league appearances in the second half of last season. After Leicester was relegated from the Premier League, the left-back was loaned to Bologna in the summer. Enzo Maresca, the new club manager, wanted to convert the Denmark international into a centre-back, which led to the player’s decision to make a temporary switch to Bologna. Brendan Rodgers was Leicester’s manager at the time of the defender’s arrival. He had previously spent time at Copenhagen and described his move to Leicester as a difficult transition. His experience at a dysfunctional team with a coach under pressure left some scars, and he was grateful for the opportunity to find a solution and be loaned out to Bologna. The Dane has made 10 appearances for Bologna this season and hopes for a permanent stay beyond the current season.
