Leicester City face battle in chase for Danish star, MLS club willing to pay transfer fee

Leicester City is one of the clubs interested in Bodo/Glimt midfielder Albert Gronbaek, according to Nettavisen. Despite a couple of recent losses, the team is currently at the top of the Championship table and hopes to further strengthen their squad in January. As the transfer window approaches, there are rumors of the Danish midfielder catching the eye of Leicester City.

Gronbaek, 22, had an impressive record last season with 14 goals and eight assists in 46 games, and has continued his good form with four goals and an assist in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Other interested parties include Galatasaray, Lille, and MLS club FC Charlotte, who are reportedly willing to pay up to €8m for the player.

Having made a name for himself at Bodo/Glimt, Gronbaek’s versatility as a midfielder would add depth to Leicester City’s midfield options. With the highly competitive nature of the Championship, the team knows they cannot afford to become complacent in their pursuit of promotion. Only time will tell if this potential transfer will come to fruition.
