Leicester City’s upcoming matches against Coventry and Ipswich in January have been rescheduled to accommodate live coverage from Sky Sports.
The M69 derby at Coventry and the top-of-the-table clash with Ipswich have both been chosen for live broadcast, leading to changes in kick-off times. The game at Coventry will now kick off at 12:30pm on Saturday, January 13, while the meeting with Ipswich at the King Power Stadium has been moved to Monday, January 22 at 8pm.
The clash with Coventry will mark the first meeting between the two sides in Coventry since August 2011, when Leicester City emerged victorious with a goal from Lee Peltier. As for the game against Ipswich, it will be the first time the two teams face off at the King Power Stadium since February 2014, when City secured a 3-0 win on their way to promotion.
Both Leicester City and Ipswich have made remarkable starts to the season and are on course to potentially break the Championship record points total of 106. Ipswich’s achievement is especially impressive, considering they were promoted to the second tier just last May. Their first meeting of the season will take place on Boxing Day at Portman Road and will also be showcased on Sky Sports.
