Leicester City is determined not to lose out on signing São Paulo defender Lucas Beraldo. Despite Zenit’s €18m offer, the Foxes have informed São Paulo that they will outbid the Russian side.
Although the specific amount has not been disclosed, it is expected that Leicester City will match São Paulo’s demand of at least €20m for the transfer. São Paulo is eager to sell at least one player before the end of the year to avoid ending with a deficit.
Beraldo’s camp had previously expressed reluctance about a transfer to Leicester City, hoping for a move to a higher-tier club. However, with only the Foxes and Zenit currently in the running, it appears that Leicester City has a strong chance of being in the Premier League next season.
