Napoli is targeting Leicester City’s Boubakary Soumaré for the upcoming winter market, reports Il Mattino via CalcioNapoli24.
With André Zambo Anguissa set to leave for the AFCON in January, Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri is on the hunt for a replacement in the holding midfield role. Soumaré is reportedly at the top of their list for January transfers.
The challenge, however, is that Soumaré is currently on loan at Sevilla, where he has become a regular in the team. For Napoli to secure his services, they would need Sevilla to cut short his loan and also negotiate with Leicester for the player’s release.
So, while Napoli has identified Soumaré as a target, there are still many obstacles to overcome before a potential deal can materialize.
