Leicester City is facing a fitness challenge ahead of their final game before Christmas, with only one or two players expected to return in time to face Rotherham. Star player Jamie Vardy is still recovering from a knee issue and may not be back until after the new year. Dennis Praet will be available after missing the last game due to illness, and Yunus Akgun could also make a return to the squad after resuming training. Kasey McAteer and Marc Albrighton are also on a similar recovery schedule to Vardy. The team did receive a boost with the return of on-loan defender Callum Doyle to training, but if Vardy’s recovery takes longer than expected, the team may face difficulties with only one senior striker available for selection in the New Year.
