The player has set his sights on a move to PSG as he transitions from Brazilian to European football. The French side has shown interest in the highly valued player, but São Paulo officials are pushing for a higher transfer fee and are looking to increase their stake in Beraldo’s rights.
Currently, São Paulo owns 60 percent of the player’s rights, with 20 percent belonging to Beraldo himself and the other 20 percent to XV de Piracicaba, where the defender began his career.
In addition to PSG, Zenit Saint Petersburg and Leicester City have expressed interest in the player. However, São Paulo rejected Zenit’s offer of €18 million and is in talks with Leicester, who are willing to match the desired transfer fee of €20 million.
Beraldo’s representatives believe that playing in the local league is not enough for his development and prefer a move to Europe. While Leicester offers a gateway to the prestigious Premier League, Beraldo is leaning towards joining PSG directly, skipping the intermediary stage and aiming for a bigger club.
