According to Italian media reports, Atalanta has shown interest in Leicester City defender Wout Faes. TuttoMercatoWeb has revealed that the 25-year-old has been added as a potential target for the Serie A side.
It is reported that Leicester City is seeking a transfer fee of around €17m for Faes, the same amount they paid to sign him from Stade Reims in 2022. Other Serie A clubs like Bologna, Fiorentina, and Torino have also attempted to sign him, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
Despite being a regular starter for Leicester City with 23 appearances this season, Faes is attracted to the prospect of playing in Italy’s top tier as he aims to secure a spot in Belgium’s national team for the Euros. Atalanta now faces the challenge of presenting a convincing offer to persuade Leicester City to consider letting him go.
