Premier League club considering Leicester City transfer decision

In the latest Leicester City transfer news, it appears that Sheffield United are considering cutting short Luke Thomas’ loan spell with the club. The full-back joined the Blades on a season-long loan in the summer, but has struggled to make an impact at Bramall Lane.

Despite featuring in all 12 Premier League games under Paul Heckingbottom, Thomas has found himself a substitute under new manager Chris Wilder and was even left out of the squad for a recent game against Luton Town. It is now rumored that Sheffield United may send Thomas back to Leicester City in January to free up a loan space in their squad.

If Thomas does return to Leicester, he may find it difficult to break into the first team under Enzo Maresca’s plans. It is possible he could be sent out on loan to another club, or even sold permanently. With Leeds United previously showing interest, City may be hesitant to facilitate a move to a promotion rival in the January market.
