West Ham United are prepared to battle Premier League rivals to sign £18m important attacker

West Ham United is gearing up to compete with other clubs for the signing of Serhou Guirassy, who could be available for a mere £18 million. Football Insider reports that West Ham is seriously interested in the 27-year-old and might engage in a tussle with competitors to secure his services. With Hammers manager David Moyes eager to bolster his attacking options, the prolific striker from Stuttgart presents an appealing opportunity at a reasonable price.

Guirassy is contemplating a move to a higher-profile club, with a potential exit from Stuttgart on the cards. Although conflicting reports mention an £18 million release clause in his contract, there were earlier indications of a £15 million valuation. Regardless, he remains a tantalizing prospect for Premier League outfits, having established himself as one of Europe’s most potent goal-scorers, with 17 goals in the Bundesliga. Moreover, he has declined the prospect of renewing his contract with the German club.

Among the suitors for Guirassy, Tottenham and AC Milan are keen on securing his signature. The player purportedly seeks €4 million annually in wages, positioning Premier League sides at the forefront of the race for his services.

While Manchester United also holds an interest in Guirassy, West Ham is contemplating a move to rival them in the pursuit of the striker. David Moyes is resolute in his quest for a new striker, especially in the wake of Michail Antonio’s injury and his lack of faith in Danny Ings, who has struggled to find the net in recent games. Eddie Nketiah and Sasa Kalajdzic were earlier targets, but the focus now is on vying for Guirassy’s signature. It appears that the club is prepared to meet the striker’s wage demands to facilitate the transfer.

As Guirassy considers his options, West Ham’s enticing offer and the opportunity for regular top-flight football in the Premier League could sway his decision-making process.
