Belgian side Royal Antwerp has set their sights on Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet, as reported by Sacha Tavolieri. Praet has struggled to secure playing time this season, with only one Championship start and six appearances overall, contributing one assist. Despite some minutes during the busy festive schedule, he has largely been left out of Enzo Maresca’s squad. With his contract set to expire, there are doubts about his future, leading Royal Antwerp to express interest in bringing him back to his native Belgium. Since joining Leicester City in 2019, Praet has tallied four goals and seven assists in 93 games. Maresca has hinted at the possibility of players seeking January moves, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Praet was among them. With little impact at Leicester, a permanent exit could benefit both the club and the player, allowing the Foxes to recoup a fee and Praet to find regular playing time elsewhere. Additionally, his departure would open up a spot in the squad for a new addition. Only time will tell if the Antwerp links will materialize into a move.
