French newspaper Le Parisien has reported that Thilo Kehrer of West Ham United is expected to undergo a medical examination in Monaco this Thursday as part of his potential loan to AS Monaco. Despite a last-minute effort from OGC Nice to intervene, it appears that Kehrer’s move to Monaco will go ahead. The German international is anticipated to finalize his contract following the medical. Formerly with Paris Saint-Germain, Kehrer has seen limited playing time at West Ham, but is expected to have more opportunities with Monaco, particularly with the departures of Wilfried Singo and Mohamed Salisu for the Africa Cup of Nations. RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins has reported that Monaco will pay a loan fee to West Ham, and there is also an option for the move to become permanent for around €10 million.
