Leicester City in fresh €15m transfer claim as club are set to seal permanent contract

Bologna is reportedly looking to start negotiations with Leicester City regarding loanee Victor Kristiansen. Kristiansen, 21, joined the Serie A team on a season-long loan last summer, with Bologna having the option to buy him for €15m.

However, according to reports from Corriere dello Sport (via Tutto Bologna Web), Bologna finds the purchase price to be too high and may begin discussions to lower the price. The Italian outlet also states that Kristiansen has not fully proven himself with his performances, leading Bologna to consider the risk of a permanent deal. Technical director Giovanni Sartori is said to be leading all decisions.

On the other hand, Kristiansen believes he has no future at the King Power Stadium. The left-back struggled to make an impact after joining from FC Copenhagen for £17m last year, stating that he faced challenges with a dysfunctional team and a coach, Brendan Rodgers, who was under pressure and eventually fired. “It has been hard,” he said, “I probably experienced the hardest way to go abroad. I joined a dysfunctional team with a coach (Brendan Rodgers) under pressure, who was then fired. I was in a difficult position as a young and newly acquired player, where I suddenly had to help save the club.”.
