West Ham are in race with Manchester United to snatch midfielder long planned to move to Fulham

Manchester United and West Ham United may be disrupting Fulham’s long-anticipated acquisition of Fluminense midfielder André as he prepares to depart Brazil.

According to Trivela, the Premier League duo are also expressing interest in the midfielder. Before winning the Copa Libertadores, Fluminense acknowledged that they would lose André and teammate Nino. They reached an agreement with the pair, allowing them to finish the season at the club, participate in the Club World Cup, and then negotiate their departures.

With those tasks completed, it is now time to negotiate, with both players garnering a growing list of potential suitors. André, in particular, is a hot prospect, with interest in him growing steadily since the summer, when bids were originally rejected as he opted to stay.

Reports in England suggest that Fulham, who have long admired the midfielder and view him as a possible replacement for Joao Palhinha, have a verbal agreement in place. However, Trivela disputes this, stating that no formal agreement exists between the parties involved, while also adding Manchester United and West Ham to the list of interested clubs.

Similar to Fulham, neither Manchester United nor West Ham appear to have taken any concrete action yet, but Trivela suggests that this could change soon. In other words, Manchester United and West Ham may make moves in the January transfer window, so be prepared for that to happen.
