DEAL IN PROGRESS: WEST HAM are in better position to sign 27-year-old Striker for £18m: player in hot demand

In recent days, West Ham United has been rumored to be eyeing Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia. With Gianluca Scamacca not being replaced and Michail Antonio currently sidelined, the Hammers are in desperate need of reinforcements in attack during the January transfer window.

Reports from Italian outlet Cronache di Salerno suggest that West Ham is showing significant interest in Dia, with frontrunners Eintracht Frankfurt needing to ‘watch out for’ Premier League sides like the Hammers.

Italian journalist and Salernitana expert Carmine Raiola has provided an update on Dia’s transfer situation, stating that the 27-year-old’s departure from the club is imminent. Raiola revealed that the attacker is looking to move on, and Salernitana is open to a permanent transfer. Despite previous rejected offers for Dia, Raiola believes that he will depart from the club, which is good news for clubs like West Ham.

Dia, who was previously linked to Wolves, expressed his desire to leave Salernitana during the summer. West Ham will be optimistic about securing his services in January, given that he is eager to move, the club is open to selling him, and the reported transfer fee of €21 million is not exorbitant.
