Spurs will not be signing a rising Ajax talent after Fabrizio Romano confirmed that another club has been chosen over them. The main priority for Spurs this month is to sign a top center-back. Talks were held with Nice for Jean-Clair Todibo, but concerns about lengthy negotiations prompted a change of plans. Manager Ange Postecoglou publicly expressed a desire to complete the signing early in the window, leading Spurs to shift their attention to Genoa’s Radu Dragusin. They have reportedly agreed on personal terms, although there is a price gap between the two clubs. Additionally, Spurs are looking for a winger, and had expressed interest in Ajax’s Stanis Idumbo Muzambo. However, Muzambo is set to join Sevilla, with the transfer agreement close to completion. Whether Spurs will regret missing out on Muzambo’s signing will depend on his development in Seville.
