Tottenham transfer verdict on youngster to be announced

In September of the previous year, Tottenham reached an agreement with Hajduk Split for the transfer of a 16-year-old prospect to the North London club by the summer of 2025.

The young centre-back emerged from the esteemed Croatian club’s youth system and earned his debut for the first team in February, showcasing promising potential that captured the attention of Tottenham, leading to a forward-looking investment.

This season, Vušković hasn’t featured for Hajduk Split’s senior team. Given that he cannot join Tottenham until he reaches the age of 18 in 2025, Tottenham now faces the task of securing a suitable developmental pathway for him.

Having recently visited Spurs before returning to Hajduk Split, Vušković’s immediate future remains under consideration. Hajduk Split’s winter break in Umag is approaching, and should Tottenham fail to make a definitive decision by then, Vušković will rejoin the senior squad at his current club.

As reported by Slobodna Dalmacija, there’s a possibility that the young talent might remain at Hajduk Split, potentially integrating into their youth setup. However, Tottenham envisions an alternate trajectory for his development.

Vušković is perceived to be in need of a more challenging environment to refine his skills, potentially indicating that a loan move elsewhere this month is a viable option.

The decision regarding Vušković’s next club is expected to involve deliberations between Tottenham, the player’s family, and the concerned parties. Until a resolution is reached, he will continue training with Hajduk Split.
