DEAL TERMINATED- SPURS TRANSFER OFFER REJECTED: Ange Postecoglou downcast

Reports have emerged indicating that Tottenham Hotspur will likely abandon their efforts to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea due to the steep asking price of £60m for the midfielder. Despite initial talk of a potential £40m bid, it appears that Spurs are unable to meet Chelsea’s increased demands.

Various sources, including respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, have cast doubt on the likelihood of an imminent transfer, with Romano stating that there have been no negotiations between the two clubs. According to Football Transfers, Chelsea is adamant about holding onto Gallagher, citing his impressive performances this season and insisting they will only consider offers over £60m.

As a result, Tottenham, constrained by financial fair play rules, are reportedly expected to delay their pursuit of Gallagher until the next summer transfer window. Instead, they may explore alternative options such as Radu Dragusin, Morgan Gibbs-White, or Arthur Vermeeren to strengthen their midfield.
