Report- DEAL TO BE COMPLETED: £85,000 per week star player set to join West Ham

Tim Steidten, West Ham’s technical director, is reportedly looking to bring Steven Bergwijn from Ajax to the London Stadium, as per the Daily Mirror.

According to Mirror writer Ryan Taylor, Bergwijn is not on good terms with his current club despite being their highest earner at £85,000 per week. The Hammers have been in talks with Bergwijn’s agency Muy Manero and are now ready to move forward with their plans to sign the 26-year-old Netherlands international.

Steidten has already successfully dealt with Ajax in the past, bringing in Mohammed Kudus and Edson Alvarez in the summer. Bergwijn, who has previously played in the Premier League with Tottenham, is looking to prove himself after an unsuccessful stint with the Hammers’ rival club. He has been in good form for Ajax despite the club’s poor season and is reportedly frustrated with his situation there.

Despite his struggles at Tottenham, Bergwijn feels he still has a point to prove in the Premier League as a successful player. With Steidten’s track record in the transfer market, it is believed that he can be trusted to make the right moves for West Ham.
