HEART-BREAKING: Leicester City’s Playmaker set to exit club

Carlton Palmer, a pundit, believes that Leicester City is taking the right approach in considering offers for defender Harry Souttar this month. However, he raised concerns about whether Championship clubs would be financially capable of acquiring him.

Souttar joined the Foxes from Stoke City last January for a significant £15 million fee and made 12 appearances as the club was relegated from the Premier League last season. Nevertheless, Souttar’s situation changed with the arrival of Enzo Maresca, as he only managed to make four appearances in all competitions this season.

Currently representing Australia in the Asia Cup, Souttar appears to be set to move on from Leicester. Despite attracting interest from Scottish Premiership side Rangers in the summer, a move did not come to fruition. However, Palmer is confident that Souttar will have plenty of suitors, given his international experience and previous success in the Championship with Stoke City.

While it is apparent that Souttar is not in Maresca’s plans, his departure this month would be the right decision for all parties involved. Financial obstacles may be a challenge for potential suitors, but Souttar’s talent and experience make him an attractive option for any team in the second tier of English football.
