TRANSFER DELAY: Tension in Spurs as Player’s future is to be decided today

Representative proposes that club may finally decide on £30 million Tottenham deal for Dragusin today

Today may be the day that Genoa makes a decision regarding the future of Radu Dragusin, with Tottenham Hotspur hoping to solidify a deal to bring the highly-rated £30 million centre-half to the Premier League.

The Dragusin saga has continued longer than anticipated, and Spurs were hopeful to reach an agreement before the end of last week. Those hopes were dashed with reports of interest from Bayern Munich.

It has been suggested that Ange Postecoglou’s side may offer Djed Spence as part of the potential £30 million transfer. Spence, whose loan at Leeds United ended early, could move to Italy on loan while Dragusin heads permanently in the opposite direction.

Genoa has been urged to provide a clear answer to Tottenham sooner rather than later, with agent Florin Manea indicating that talks over Dragusin’s future were scheduled to take place before the close of play on Tuesday.

Manea also mentioned interest from other clubs such as Arsenal and Newcastle United, expressing that Dragusin remains calm and unfazed by the ongoing discussions.

Despite being one of the most promising young centre-halves in Europe, Dragusin might not be Tottenham’s first signing of the January window, with RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner seemingly ahead in the pecking order.

Ultimately, the decision will rest on what Dragusin believes is best for his career, with Manea highlighting his preparedness and potential to shine on a global stage if he were to play in Italy.
