TRANSFER TERMINATION: Enzo Maresca reveals potential obstacles that could prevent Leicester from completing a crucial transfer target ready to sign contract.

The talented player has surfaced as a potential target for City as they look to add a new midfielder (Stefano Sensi) January following the injury of Wilfred Ndidi for three months.

Leicester City may miss out on the chance to bring in a new midfielder this January transfer window due to financial constraints.

City boss Enzo Maresca is eager to find a replacement for the injured Ndidi and strengthen the squad as they sit at the top of the Championship standings. However, Maresca stated that without player sales, the club won’t be active in the market.

Maresca had initially hoped to bring in new players by offloading some from the squad, but even with the loan exit of Daniel Iversen, the club’s transfer budget remains a limiting factor.

Maresca expressed a desire to bolster the squad due to injuries to players like Ndidi and Dennis Praet. However, potential targets like Sensi from Inter Milan may be out of reach due to financial limitations.

As a result, players like Cesare Casadei and Yunus Akgun, both on loan at the club, could see more playing time in the midfield. City may also consider promoting Will Alves once he is fit.

Maresca indicated that despite the club’s strong position, new signings are currently not possible unless there are changes to the squad or player sales.
