Rangers and Leicester City ‘set their sights’ on exciting star: player makes decision

Rangers are looking to strengthen their claim for the title by making further additions in the January transfer window. The Ibrox club is eyeing the signing of a winger, with reports indicating that one of the standout players on their radar is Netherlands U21 international Million Manhoef, according to manager Philippe Clement.

At just 22 years old, Manhoef is a versatile winger who can also operate as a full back. Since his debut in 2020, he has amassed 71 appearances for Dutch side Vittese and is now considered one of their key attacking assets.

The young player’s speed and creativity have garnered interest from several European teams. According to TEAMTalk, clubs such as Leicester City, Rangers, and Feyenoord are all tracking Manhoef, who could potentially be available for a reduced fee in January due to Vitesse’s financial struggles. Currently rooted to the bottom of the Eredivisie with just 11 points from 16 games, Vitesse has heavily relied on Manhoef’s contribution, as he has scored 12 of the team’s 44 goals this season.

Despite his importance, it is believed that a fee in the region of £3m should be sufficient to secure Manhoef’s services, making him an affordable target for Rangers. The Gers’ new Director of Football Nils Kloppen is reportedly a big admirer of the player and is expected to work diligently to finalize the deal.

While Manhoef is under contract with Vitesse until the end of next season, the club has not yet extended his deal. Although Vitesse is keen to retain the player to aid their fight for survival, their financial difficulties may compel them to consider offers for Manhoef this month if they are deemed suitable.
