2 in, 2 out: Leicester City transfers we expect to happen before February 1st

Leicester City has been having a remarkable season in the Championship up to now.

We have identified some of the possible arrivals and departures at Leicester City this month.

The Foxes had a disappointing campaign following their relegation from the Premier League last season. However, they are in a good position to make a comeback to the top flight in the coming season.

Enzo Maresca’s team has been at the top of the table for most of the season, and many believe they will surpass Reading’s second-tier points record of 106.

The summer transfer activities have been excellent for Leicester, with the additions of nine new players at King Power Stadium, most of whom have made a significant impact.

Considering the team’s solid squad, the club is expected to focus on retaining key players during the January transfer window, while Maresca may look to bring in reinforcements if necessary.

In light of this, we have assessed potential incoming and outgoing deals at Leicester for this month.

According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Leicester is in discussions with Inter Milan about acquiring midfielder Sensi.

Sensi, initially on loan from Sassuolo, has struggled to secure a regular spot in the Inter team. His contract is set to expire soon, and Leicester appear interested in a permanent move.

TEAMtalk hinted that Leicester, along with Leeds United and Middlesbrough, were looking into signing Burnley midfielder Brownhill, whose contract is also expiring soon. Wolverhampton Wanderers are rumored to be planning a move, contending with Leicester, Crystal Palace, and Fulham.

Souttar was brought to Leicester from Stoke City but has fallen out of favor. According to The Athletic via The Daily Record, Leicester is willing to entertain offers for him, with Rangers showing interest.

Goalkeeper Ward might also be on his way out of King Power Stadium, reportedly attracting interest from Cardiff City and Sheffield United.

Maresca has yet to make definitive decisions on some of these deals but recognizes that they might be necessary. With players like Sensi, Brownhill, Souttar, and Ward, Leicester City could be seeing some changes in their squad this month.
