This month, West Ham is on the hunt for a new striker, with reports stating that a player targeted by Tottenham is at the top of David Moyes’ transfer list. Despite a strong start to the season, injuries to key players have prompted Technical Director Tim Steidten to seek additional players. The priority is a new center-forward, with Serhou Guirassy of Stuttgart and Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord identified as the main targets. It seems that West Ham is leaning towards pursuing Gimenez, who has been linked with Tottenham and has an impressive record of 20 goals in 22 appearances. While West Ham is eager to sign Gimenez, they may need to sell players like Nayef Aguerd, Danny Ings, and Said Benrahma to raise the £40m required for the deal. However, convincing Feyenoord to part with their star player mid-season will be a challenge, as they are still competing for the Eredivisie title. It remains to be seen whether West Ham will make a formal offer for Gimenez in the coming weeks.
