A report from Football Transfers claims that Tottenham are currently holding ‘internal discussions’ regarding the French midfielder and they could look to bring him back in order to add more depth to their squad.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Tanguy Ndombele is currently on loan with Galatasaray, but the club is reportedly considering bringing him back. According to Football Transfers, internal discussions are taking place at the north London club in order to add depth to their squad.
The Spurs were originally hoping to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea, but the deal has hit a roadblock. With Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr on international duty and rumors of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg potentially leaving, it is clear that Tottenham is in need of midfield reinforcements.
Ndombele has struggled to secure a consistent starting spot since joining the club in 2019 and a return could provide a cost-effective solution to their midfield woes. With Ange Postecoglou potentially offering him more opportunities, a move back to Spurs could be enticing for the French midfielder.
While Ndombele’s time at Galatasaray has been up and down, there is no denying his potential to become a key player for Tottenham if given the chance. It will be interesting to see if the Australian manager can help unlock his true talent.
Having initially been seen as a world-class talent in France, Tottenham will be hoping to finally see Ndombele’s true potential if he makes a permanent return to the club. Whether or not this will happen remains to be seen.
