According to The Daily Mirror, West Ham United is interested in bringing Clarke to the London Stadium, but Tottenham would receive a 30 percent fee due to a sell-on clause. Football Insider also claims that Brentford and Crystal Palace are interested in the 23-year-old.
Despite his desire to prove himself in the top flight, Clarke is concerned about the possibility of struggling for playing time, similar to his experience at Tottenham. He is said to be a player who thrives on confidence and support, which he did not receive at Spurs, especially after the manager who signed him, Pochettino, was fired shortly after his arrival.
Given these circumstances, it is not surprising that Clarke may choose to decline a Premier League move at this time, opting to reassess his options at the end of the season.
