Ange Postecoglou’s master plan for his Tottenham players during the upcoming open week before facing off against Man City.

Ange Postecoglou is aiming to strike a balance between hard work and well-earned rest for Tottenham Hotspur’s players as they enjoy a rare weekend without a match.

Following their 2-2 draw at Old Trafford against United, Tottenham returned on Sunday night and were back in training on Monday at Hotspur Way. The Premier League’s split winter break meant that Spurs had a weekend off without a fixture, providing an opportunity for the players to rest.

While some Premier League managers have opted for warm-weather training camps during this open week, Postecoglou decided to work with his players at Hotspur Way instead. The squad will have 12 days between matches, with the boss giving them Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to rest and recover their bodies.

With an injury-hit and tired squad, Postecoglou acknowledged the effort and dedication of his players, stating that they have given their all despite the challenges they have faced throughout the season. He emphasized the commitment and determination of the team, acknowledging that their hard work is the reason they are in their current position, and he expressed his admiration for the effort they put in week after week.
