EXIT MOVE: Fabrizio Romano says £27m player wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur in January

Fabrizio Romano has revealed Sergio Reguilon’s plans for his future at Tottenham Hotspur, with the Italian journalist reporting that Brentford are eager to sign the left-back in the upcoming January transfer window.

According to Romano, Reguilon is looking to move on from Tottenham in search of regular first-team football. The 27-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Manchester United, and it seems he is keen to secure a permanent move away from Spurs.

Brentford have shown strong interest in bringing Reguilon to the club, with Romano stating that they are working hard to finalize a deal with Tottenham.

It appears that Reguilon’s time at Tottenham is coming to an end, as he is determined to pursue playing opportunities elsewhere. In my view, it is unlikely that he has a long-term future at the North London club, and a permanent move to a new club would be in the best interest of both parties. With his contract running until 2025, it seems that finding a new club in either the January transfer window or the summer of 2024 would be the most beneficial for both Reguilon and Tottenham.
