DEAL CONFIRMED: Leicester City set To Complete Permanent Deal For £10 Million Star

Leicester City is eager to secure Callum Doyle’s permanent transfer after the promising young defender made a strong impression at the King Power Stadium following his loan move over the summer, as per reports.

Doyle’s loan spell with the Foxes kicked off in August after stints with Sunderland in League One and Coventry City in the Championship, where he emerged as a key figure in both teams’ starting lineups as a center-back.

Initially deployed as a left-back who transitions into a three-man defensive line, Doyle’s season was interrupted by a knee injury in September. However, the 20-year-old recently returned to action and made his first start for Leicester City in an FA Cup win over Millwall.

According to The Athletic, Leicester is looking to secure Doyle’s long-term future at the club, with reports surfacing last summer of the Foxes’ interest in a permanent transfer. Although the initial loan deal was expedited, it’s now understood that the club is aiming to make Doyle’s move permanent at the end of the season.

With a current market value slightly higher than the £10 million asking price from Manchester City, Doyle has demonstrated his worth with impressive performances at previous clubs. Given his recent return from injury, he could play a crucial role in Leicester’s bid for Premier League promotion.

With Manchester City bolstering their defensive ranks, it appears unlikely that Doyle will break into their first team, making a permanent move to Leicester City a viable next step in his career.
