A board confidant reported that West Ham boss David Moyes and technical director Tim Steidten are working tirelessly as the January transfer window deadline looms. With just 12 days left, the club is frantically trying to clear space in the squad and on the wage bill to satisfy FFP rules. Players like Thilo Kehrer, Conor Coventry, Said Benrahma, Nayef Aguerd, Danny Ings, and Maxwel Cornet are all potentially on their way out, while Moyes is expecting to make signings after the recent FA Cup exit at Bristol City. The club has been linked with a plethora of targets, with 20 names on the list, leading fans to struggle to keep up with the rapidly growing list. Despite looking to bring in two loan signings, reportedly not one of the 20 targets is a striker. The club has been heavily linked with a move for Man City outcast Kalvin Phillips, but there are 19 other players being considered. Although fans may be disappointed with the potential for only loan deals, it’s a challenging time to make permanent deals in January. However, it’s crucial for the club to bring in successful signings to maintain their challenge for a top six place.
