CONFIRMED: Lazio set to complete transfer deal with Tottenham Hotspur

Lazio is in need of a budget-friendly winger this month, and they have their eye on Tottenham’s Bryan Gil. The team has been struggling to find consistent goal-scoring this season, with injuries plaguing captain Ciro Immobile and backup striker Valentin Castellanos still adjusting to the Italian league. The departure of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the summer has also left a void in the squad.

Despite the need for reinforcements, Lazio has been quiet in the January transfer market, not making any new signings in the first three weeks. The departure of midfielder Toma Basic to Salernitana has opened up space in the squad.

According to reports from Corriere dello Sport via TMW, Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is eager to secure the services of Bryan Gil this month, a player they had previously considered signing in the summer.

The 22-year-old Spanish winger has had limited playing time under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, featuring in just 217 minutes across 10 matches. Spurs are open to loaning him out and may include a buy option in the deal.
