Tottenham Hotspur may still have a chance to sign Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna before the January transfer window closes.
Updates shared by journalist Dean Jones reveal that Spurs have already completed the majority of their transfer business for the month, making way for possible late moves.
With several players, including Eric Dier and Hugo Lloris, having left the club, Spurs have managed to bring in new signings like Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner.
Jones believes that Tottenham now has the flexibility to make additional signings in the final days of the window and Calafiori is a player they are interested in.
He explained to GiveMeSport that Calafiori fits the profile of players Tottenham is looking to bring in this year, especially in terms of emerging talent.
While Tottenham has a history of signing talented players from Serie A, such as Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski, the addition of Dragusin this month means that a new midfielder is the priority.
However, if the right opportunity arises, Tottenham could pursue another defensive signing before the transfer window closes.
