DEAL IN PROGRESS: Tottenham in high-stakes negotiations to secure the signing of a teenage prodigy dubbed the next Martin Odegaard, the legendary captain of rival team Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur is working hard to secure the signing of Club Brugge sensation Antonio Nusa, who has drawn comparisons to Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard.

Tottenham has already had a successful January transfer window, bringing in forward Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig and sealing a deal for Radu Dragusin from Genoa, warding off interest from Bayern Munich.

However, there may still be more excitement to come as Tottenham is reportedly in talks to bring in Antonio Nusa from Club Brugge. The proposed move would see Nusa return to Belgium for the remainder of the season before officially joining Tottenham at the end of the season.

Nusa, at just 18 years old, has impressed with Club Brugge, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 63 appearances. He has also made an impact on the international stage, with one goal and four assists in four caps for Norway.

Former Norway coach Per-Mathias Hogmo, who gave Odegaard his international debut at 15, sees similarities between Nusa and the Arsenal captain. Hogmo praised Nusa’s “wonderful balance” on the ball and ability to perform in tight situations, reminiscent of Odegaard in his early years.

With the potential addition of Nusa, Tottenham could be bringing in a special player with the talent to make a significant impact for years to come, potentially creating a rivalry with Odegaard in North London. And with Odegaard’s experience as a young wonderkid, he could provide valuable guidance to Nusa as he navigates the pressures and excitement of joining a top club like Tottenham.
