FINALLY AGREEMENT REACHED: West Ham United have reportedly reached an agreement with PL club to sign Talented youngster

West Ham United is reportedly close to finalizing a deal with Manchester City to bring in Kalvin Phillips on loan from Leeds United. The 28-year-old has had difficulty establishing himself at Etihad Stadium since joining from his hometown team of Leeds in 2022, making only 31 appearances in all competitions and not starting a single league game this season.

The Athletic reports that Manchester City has agreed to allow the England international to spend the remainder of the season in London. West Ham will cover Phillips’ salary during his time at the London Stadium. While other teams like Newcastle United and Crystal Palace also expressed interest, it seems that West Ham is the front-runner to secure his services.

A move to West Ham could potentially keep Phillips in the running for a spot in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad. The England manager is a fan of Phillips, but has many midfield options to choose from. A product of the Leeds academy, Phillips rose through the ranks and became a key player under Marcelo Bielsa, helping the team end their Premier League hiatus in 2020.
