Pochettino strongly suggests that Cesare Casadei will be given a prominent position in the Chelsea first team.

Last week, Chelsea made a surprising decision to bring back Cesare Casadei from his loan at Leicester City. Despite numerous unsuccessful assignments in the Loan Army, the 21-year-old managed to excel and carve out a solid role for himself in the Championship-leading team, making 25 appearances in a rotational midfield position.

According to reports, the decision to recall Casadei was made by Mauricio Pochettino, who confirmed this during a pre-match press conference, although the player is ineligible for the upcoming match.

Pochettino praised Casadei’s loan, saying, “[Casadei’s loan] was fantastic. He was doing really well. In the pre-season, he worked really, really well and he was one of the players we suffered a little bit to allow him to go. I hope he can help. Tomorrow is not possible because he played with Leicester in the Carabao Cup and in the FA Cup also, so he’s not available on Friday, too, but yes in the Premier League, maybe he can be involved and be part of the squad.”

With injuries and uncertainty surrounding Conor Gallagher, it makes sense to add a fresh player to the group. Hopefully, Casadei will have the opportunity to demonstrate his potential and eye for goal, even if he may not see as much action as he would have with Leicester for the rest of the season.
