TRANSFER RAID: Man Utd to urgently launch a daring raid on Tottenham Hotspur to secure star player that legendary Fergie’s right-hand man has been craving for an eternity ago!

Dwight Yorke is making a plea to Manchester United to pursue Son Heung-min, the player who Rene Meulensteen had recommended the club sign in 2016. Meulensteen, who was part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s coaching staff at Old Trafford, expressed frustration when the club did not act on his advice.

Son initially had a slow start after leaving Bayer Leverkusen for Tottenham, scoring only four Premier League goals in his first season. Despite this, Meulensteen saw potential in Son and believed he could have a significant impact at Old Trafford.

Yorke, a former United player, believes that Son is the type of player that manager Erik ten Hag should consider to address the team’s lack of attacking threat. He argues that while experienced players like Karim Benzema have their value, United needs players like Son who can truly make a difference for the team.

The likelihood of United securing a deal for Son in the near future appears slim, particularly given the club’s cautious approach to spending in line with Financial Fair Play regulations. However, with Son’s contract set to expire in a year, a move in the summer cannot be completely ruled out.

Despite acquiring Rasmus Hojlund in August, the young player has not been able to match Son’s level of contribution on the field.
