West Ham links to £50m Chelsea attacker

West Ham links to £50m Chelsea attacker make no sense – unless Casadei plan is true

Armando Broja finds himself in a peculiar situation. While many Chelsea fans doubt his ability to become a regular player for the team, numerous Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in signing him in January.

According to Jacob Steinberg’s article in the Guardian, West Ham is the latest club to express interest, joining Fulham and others in the race to secure his services.

However, it seems unlikely that Chelsea will allow Broja to leave, especially with only Nicolas Jackson as a recognized striker on the roster while Broja’s backup, Christopher Nkunku, is away at AFCON.

There is speculation that Cesare Casadei may be brought back as Chelsea’s third-choice striker, potentially allowing Broja to leave. Yet, this seems far-fetched, especially considering Casadei’s recent success at Leicester before his return.

While selling Broja could fetch a significant sum, potentially around £50m, it would undoubtedly weaken Mauricio Pochettino’s options. As a result, it is uncertain whether Chelsea will entertain such offers.
