A £34 million star is now among the top choices to join Tottenham as the club and manager Ange Postecoglou focus on making a significant signing in a key area.
The club’s recruitment team and chairman Daniel Levy are fully supporting Postecoglou’s desire to upgrade the squad. The signing of defender Radu Dragusin from Genoa for £25 million is seen as a vital addition, addressing the lack of depth in the defensive positions.
Postecoglou had previously expressed his wish for new signings, and Spurs have granted that wish, with Dragusin being the first of potentially more to come before the transfer window closes. Talks are also underway to bring in Antonio Nusa from Club Brugge and the reports have not ruled out the possibility of signing Conor Gallagher.
In addition to strengthening the defensive lineup, Tottenham is evaluating options to replace star striker Harry Kane.
