Michael Van Vaerenbergh has reported that Real Betis is interested in signing Ferran Jutglà from Club Brugge. The La Liga side is reportedly leaning towards pursuing the former Barcelona forward, preferring him over other potential targets such as Kelechi Iheanacho from Leicester City and Sardar Azmoun from Roma. Jutglà has made a comeback from a lengthy injury lay off this season and has managed to score three league goals. After being signed by Club Brugge in the summer of 2022 for around €5m from Barcelona, where he scored two goals in nine appearances for the senior side, the striker has scored 18 goals in 68 games. However, this season he has been overshadowed by the Brazilian striker Thiago Rodrigues who has been scoring consistently. Real Betis is allegedly willing to offer €8m for the 24-year-old.
Before Thiago’s scoring streak, Club Brugge had been considering looking for another striker in January. However, if Jutglà were to leave, they may have to return to the transfer market to find a replacement.
