BREAKING: EX-SPURS ACE THINKS TOTTENHAM BEAT NEWCASTLE TO AN ‘EXTRAORDINARY’ SIGNING

Tottenham Hotspur’s investment of £26 million in Radu Dragusin has garnered admiration from fellow Romanian Vlad Chiriches, with the promising center-half now following in his Premier League footsteps. While Chiriches’ tenure at Spurs in 2013 ultimately lacked impact, there is hope that Dragusin will leave a more lasting impression in London.

Coming from Serie A side Genoa, Dragusin’s January arrival has brought with it high expectations, with the player drawing interest from clubs such as AC Milan, Napoli, Bayern Munich, and Newcastle United. Chiriches, now 34, has praised Dragusin’s talent and attitude, expressing confidence in his ability to succeed in English football.

With just a few months of consistent Serie A experience and at only 21 years old, Dragusin is still relatively untested at the highest level of European football. However, Chiriches believes that the 6ft 3ins defender, often compared to Virgil van Dijk, possesses the qualities necessary to thrive at a club like Tottenham.

Tottenham’s signing of Dragusin marks their second acquisition of the transfer window, following Timo Werner’s loan from RB Leipzig to the English capital.
