Ndidi, Choudhury, Daka – Leicester City injury update ahead of Birmingham FA Cup tie

Ahead of Leicester City’s FA Cup fourth-round tie against Birmingham City at the King Power Stadium, manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will not be returning to the team as soon as he had indicated. After a moment of miscommunication, it was revealed that Ndidi’s recovery from surgery on a muscle will still keep him out of play for the originally projected three months, ruling him out until early April. Maresca clarified during a press conference that Ndidi misunderstood the term “a couple of weeks”, thinking it meant two weeks, when in reality, it meant three months. In addition to Ndidi, City will also be missing Abdul Fatawu, Harry Souttar, and Kelechi Iheanacho for the match, while Patson Daka will not be back in England until just before the game. However, Hamza Choudhury will be available despite facing charges for drink-driving, as confirmed by Maresca.
